The Final CONTESSA Meeting in Dresden

Due to the pressure of other more directly UC-related work commitments for the two Vice-Presidents, Ms. Thidalin and Mr. Sopheng represented UC at the closing meeting of the CONTESSA project in Dresden, Federal Republic of Germany, October 4-7. The aim of this meeting was to do an overview of progress throughout the project and look to how it can be further developed in the future: in other words, its sustainability.

As noted in the foregoing sections:

  1. Prof Meas Nearyroth (PUC), as the project’s National Coordinator, has led the process for the five modules having been accepted by MoEYS as part of their teacher-training programs.
  2. After an initial trial run with CONTESSA’s Module 5 (Digital Teaching and Learning) as part of EDC404 (Uses of ICT in Education), the experience gained together with the final approval of Khmer versions of this and other modules means that we are planning to incorporate all five modules into the 2023-2027 edition of our Undergraduate and Graduate Studies catalogs.

In conclusion, two private universities in Cambodia are very grateful to the EU Erasmus+ initiative for the opportunity to gain meaningful learning experiences and the downstream ability to contribute to the future development of the education sector and capacity-building in Cambodia.
